We got some new bamboo toothbrushes today.
Bamboo toothbrushes help the planet because they use less plastic than normal toothbrushes.
Plastic toothbrushes don’t rot away so they stay in landfill for a long time. Sometimes they end up in the sea.
When we have finished with our bamboo toothbrushes we can use pliers to pull the bristles out to put in the bin and put the bamboo in our compost heap. We couldn’t put plastic in the compost heap because it doesn’t rot but bamboo does.
The toothbrushes come wrapped in paper instead of plastic so all the packaging can be recycled.
We ordered five toothbrushes: one for me, one for each of my brothers, one for my Mummy and one for my Daddy. You can buy them online and The Weigh Forward sells them too.

Would it be possible to use the bamboo for a plant label after you have removed the bristles? Granny
